The New Testament seven movements of apostolic witness
From the incarnation to the consummation — the shape of redemptive revelation as the promise of the Hebrew Scriptures comes to its fulfillment in the person of Jesus, the outpoured Spirit, and the inaugurated new creation.
Theological framework drawn from GEERHARDUS VOS

The Two-Age Structure of New Testament Theology
Vos's organizing insight: the kingdom has been inaugurated but awaits consummation
This Present Age
ὁ αἰὼν οὗτος — ho aiōn houtos
The age of sin, death, flesh, and the rule of the powers. Characterized by corruption, estrangement from God, and subjection to the stoicheia tou kosmou (elementary principles of the world).
The Age to Come
ὁ αἰὼν ὁ μέλλων — ho aiōn ho mellōn
The age of the kingdom, the Spirit, resurrection life, and righteousness. The fulfillment of every prophetic hope — the new creation that Isaiah and Ezekiel foresaw.
VOS'S CENTRAL INSIGHT — In the New Testament, the age to come has already begun with Christ's resurrection and the outpouring of the Spirit, even while the present evil age continues until his return. Christians live in the overlap of the ages — THE ALREADY AND THE NOT YET — receiving now, by the Spirit, the firstfruits of what will be fully consummated at the parousia.
